Can it Be Bald and the Beautiful?
Men and Baldness are enemies even if a man doesn’t confess to it; no one can deny that hair is the pride of many men. This is myths' week and again we are coming cross myths that men have heard all over the past years to help you recognize if you thought you were wronging your hair. Here we go:
- I know my mom believed this myth; cutting your hair will make it grow back heavier and thicker but is it an illusion? I am afraid yes, and this all grows from the fact that hair is thicker at the roots than it is on the tip, which helps it look thicker when it grows back. However, the minute it grows longer, you will realize you just followed a myth.
- No! Standing on your head will not help the blood flow and therefore help your scalp.
- Washing your hair too much doesn't cause hair loss; however, we are not recommending you washing your hair twice a day. It is known that the moderate rate is 3 to 4 times a week.
- Even though it was never proved that a certain kind of food affects your hair loss, it is well known that your diet can affect your hair. Make sure that you are eating right to help prevent you losing more hair.
- The sun doesn’t affect your hair, if anything, you hair helps protect you from the sun.
- Unless the hat or the cap you usually wear is tighter than the usual, wearing it will never affect your hair. If your hat bothers you, this means you are preventing the circulation to follicles so just go with a normal hat that fits you.
- Again No! Brushing your hair is not better than combing it, as a matter of fact brushes result in split ends, so you'd better stick to your comb.
- If you are under stress, you can suffer from hair loss; this is a basic well known fact. However, if its baldness you are suffering from, it has nothing to do with stress unless this stress stays forever.
- Hair products don't usually affect your hair; however, we are talking about normal hair products that are sold on the normal shelves in normal shops.
- Even though coloring is not popular around men as it is around women, it still has nothing to do with baldness. Yes it may harm your hair and cause dryness but total baldness, no way!!
- The same applies for blow drying, it may cause split ends or burn and cause your hair to fall but as long as it grows back, your blow dryer is innocent.
These are not the only myths about hair; there are millions more out there. We can't sum them all; however, you have to know that genes have a lot to do with baldness; it doesn’t have to be something wrong you did. And one last thing, just like some like it blond while others like brunettes, women; some like the bald and some like them with hair on top of their heads so don't panic!!
