Election candidate mistakes Islam for a country

An Australian election candidate who thought Islam was a country has stepped down.
Stephanie Banister made a number of errors during an interview with Channel Seven, in which she mistook the religion for being a nation, claimed Jews follow Jesus Christ and mixed up the Qur'an with the Arabic term 'haram', which means forbidden.
She said: 'I don't oppose Islam as a country but I do feel that their laws should not be welcome here in Australia.
'Less than two per cent of Australians follow haram. Jews aren't under haram. They have their own religion which follows Jesus Christ.'
The 27-year-old politician - who is due in court accused of putting stickers stating, 'Beware! Halal food funds terrorism' on Nestle products at her local Woolworths supermarket - has since apologised for her gaffes.
She said in a statement: 'With the way Channel Seven edited my interview, I was left quite the fool.
'I'd like to apologise to One Nation, to my friends and family, for any embarrassment this has brought to them.'

The truth is, it's ALL fabrication in man's attempt to give meaning to his life and death; fairy tales to make the bitter pill of extinction upon death less of a reality.

Mohammed was also a pedophile, marrying very underage girls. For shame! Christians haven't been exactly perfect throughout history, either. What about the Crusades? What about all the pedophile priests?

Muslims keep saying that Islam is a peaceful religion, but it is the religion that threatens the world, and even began as a warring religion. Study Islam's true history.

(Part 2 of guardian's post) It is a pathetic political trick to make your opponent look silly and stupid, so as to remove the threat they represent to you.

William,YOU are ignorant, making a stupid and unsubstantiated remark, "I think this woman represents all Australians." Yes, the woman is very young still and uninformed, but you must be, also. And you also know only what the Liberal press in the USA wants you to think about Sarah Palin.
