Typhoid outbreak contained, claims Health Ministry

The Health Ministry denied on Monday rumors of a typhoid epidemic sweeping the nation.

Abdel Aaty Abdel Aleem, head of the ministry's preventative medicine department, said that there have been no more than 800 typhoid cases scattered across the country. He blamed contaminated food for the outbreak.

Typhoid tends to spread in the hot summer months, when food is easily spoiled, Abdel Aleem continued. The preventative medicine department periodically follows up on cases across the governates to ensure the disease is contained, he added.

The official also said that there are about 400 new typhoid cases per month.

A tooth (plural teeth) is a undersized, calcified, whitish form found in the jaws (or mouths) of multitudinous vertebrates and worn to break down food. Some animals, explicitly carnivores, also exercise teeth for the purpose hunting or in place of defensive purposes. The roots of teeth are covered sooner than gums. Teeth are not made of bone, but fairly of multiple tissues of varying density and hardness. The unrestricted design of teeth is similar across the vertebrates, although there is respectable variation in their show up and position. The teeth of mammals be struck by serious roots, and this design is also found in some fish, and in crocodilians. In most teleost fish, manner, the teeth are attached to the outer surface of the bone, while in lizards they are fastened to the inner interface of the jaw by a man side. In cartilaginous fish, such as sharks, the teeth are joined by means of rough ligaments to the hoops of cartilage that construct the jaw.
