Egyptian actor Ahmed El Sakka was kicked out of Tahrir Square by anti-Mubarak protesters. In his statements to MBC.net, he said he was dismissed out of the square on February 7th by the protesters when he accompanied with actor Ahmed Helmy to check on Helmy's wife, actress Mona Zaki.
El Sakka said he refused to argue with them because he understands their frustrations. However, El Sakka said he still supports President Mubarak decision to cling on to power until September 2011. He said he objects to the way the president is being treated as he served Egypt for 30 years.
Ahmed El Sakka urged calm and for protesters go home to achieve stability in Egypt. He also called on the government to fulfill the protesters’ demands.
El Sakka postponed shooting of his film 'Al Maslaha' (Public Interest) until things settle down in Egypt. The film is written by Wael Abdullah and directed by Sandra Nashat, and stars Ahmed Ezz and Kinda Aloush along with El Sakka.
