Ghostly Vanilla Shake

Hosting a Halloween party and not quite sure what drinks to serve your guests? Well, why not try our vanilla milk shake recipe and surprise your guests with your creativity.


For the cups:
Get clear plastic cups and using a black permanent marker draw ghost faces on the outside. Prepare the cups a day ahead of your party.


Milkshake recipe:
• 1 cup whole milk
• 1 tub of vanilla ice cream
• 1 cup heavy cream
• 1 tablespoon confectioners' (powdered) sugar

Directions:
1. Blend the milk and half of the ice cream tub in a blender until smooth. With the blender running, add the remaining amount of ice cream, one scoop at a time; and blend until smooth. Pour the milkshake into the decorated ghost cups, filling them 3/4 full.


2. Put cream in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the whisk attachment. Beat on medium speed until it becomes soft and puffy. Add confectioners' sugar to transform into whipped cream. Beat until it stiffens a bit. Transfer whipped cream to a pastry bag fitted with a plain round tip. Pipe whipped cream into spirals on top of the milkshakes to make them look like ghosts. Serve immediately. This recipe makes 8 servings.
