Al Watan television channel purchased the rights to the new series "Ferqat Naji Atallah" (Naji Atallah's Gang) starring Egyptian actor Adel Emam.

This came as per the agreement between the Egyptian actor and the Kuwaiti channel to broadcast the series in Ramadan 2011, making it the only non-Kuwaiti series to be broadcast on the channel. The value of the deal has not been announced.

According to "Midnews.net", this agreement broke the Kuwaiti-only policy of the channel, which has never aired any Egyptian, Syrian or foreign series since its establishment five years ago.

Adel Emam co-stars in "Ferqat Naji Atallah" alongside Ahmed Salah Al Saadani, Mohamed Adel Emam, Tunisian actress Sana Youssef, Amr Ramzi and singer Anushka. The series is directed by Rami Emam...YC/ATC-TCL.com
