Retired Egyptian actor Mohsen Mohieddine returns to cinema after a 20-year absence to write and direct "Al Khetab Al Akhir" (The Last Speech).
Egyptian newspaper "Al Wafd" quoted Mohsen as saying he does not plan to act in the film, explaining that the January 25 revolution was the reason behind his comeback to art, as it changed the general climate of the country and broke all boundaries.
The actor says he was considering directing a film about Palestine but the Censorship Authority under the reign of the former regime refused.
Mohieddine received approval from the Censorship Authority for his film "Al Khetab Al Akhir", which begins with a scene featuring the former president Mubarak in a meeting with corrupt figures before the infamous 'Battle of the Camel', giving orders to beat the protesters and eliminate them in order to clear Tahrir Square.
The film addresses the events following the 'camel incident' up to the success of the revolution and the imprisonment of corrupt figures at Tora prison, followed by Hosni Mubarak's hospitalization in Sharm El Sheikh. The film then delves into the supernatural with the arrival of the Angel of Death, Azrael, to harvest his soul.
