
Lanvin wants a piece of the burgeoning eyewear industry too.
The luxury label has signed a worldwide license agreement with Italy’s De Rigo Vision SpA. The terms of the agreement extend from design, production to the worldwide distribution of sunglasses and prescription frames. Deliveries are expected to begin in December. De Rigo has three house brands— Police, Sting and Lozza — and several licensed brands, such as Givenchy and Céline under its belt; it also controls several optical retailers; General Optica in Spain and Portugal; Opmar Optik in Turkey; and Boots Opticians in the U.K.
