Men! Reduce Stress
Stress is the number one reason behind high blood pressure and even though you might be one of these naturally calm men, daily incidents can push you to the edge. Its impossible to ignore your nagging boss, the deadline that was last week, traffic on your way home or simply not having time to get your coffee this morning. There is no way that you can avoid such events; however, there is a way to swallow things a little easier than you think. This week we are bringing some of methods to ease off your stress:
Walking is not only healthy for you on the physical side but it has proven to be a great success on the emotional side as well. Taking a nice walk in the fresh air can give you some time to clear up your head. We are not asking you to run away from your problems, we are simply saying that taking a short break from it can help big deal in solving it.
The old method of counting to 10 seriously works especially in situations where reactions are required. Taking such reactions without cooling off can make matters much worse especially if it is related to work.
The previous are great solutions if you can take a walk or time but what if you are stuck in traffic or simply has no way of walking your stress off. If that’s the situation, then its time to close up your windows and ignore the horns around you. However, if the noise is too much, you can put on your favorite music or pick something simply soothing and relaxing; I bet this way you can find a clearer route to take back go home.
I have to admit that I mostly use this concept, which is looking at the big picture. Even though sometimes you feel like the world has just decided to torture you, there is a slight chance that you might be overreacting. Unless you were promised a promotion, delivering your report a day later at work wouldn’t cost you your job, count your blessings and work hard to turn the bad situation you are into a better one.
Last but not least, the cheapest most successful method is breathing. I know that we normally breathe to survive but I am talking the right kind of breathing that is short and slow. Taking a deep breath can help you calm down and think properly when things are going crazy around you.
Remember, relaxing doesn’t only affect you but it affects people around you as well.
