Winter Must-Haves for Men
As I look to my father who comes from the old era when men just wanted to look pulled together, I have come to realize that this no longer exists, as men now want to look their best. Many of my male colleagues and friends look for what’s hot this season even if they are not intending to purchase any of it.
That’s why we have decided to dedicate this week’s article to men and their fall grooming. We are here this week to tell men or their wives what pieces are essential this season if you want to look more updated, which won’t only help you this year but will stay on the hot list for seasons to come.
- Stripped shirts; every fashion line and shop has and had these shirts for quite some time now so there must be something right about them. These shirts are flexible items that can be worn with jeans or with a suit or under sweater. You can pick whatever stripes you want whether bold or thin, be sure that it will fit most of your ensembles.
- When it comes to pants; there are two options this fall:
* Flat-front twill pants; which are simple yet will go with anything you are wearing and they come in array of colors and patterns. Pair a straight-legged one with a turtleneck or a printed tee for an outing with your friends. If you are having a casual day at the office, then you might want to pair it with a button-down shirt or a wool sweater.
* Jeans; are just unavoidable whatever the season is and lately their use increased hugely. We now see the jeans paired with anything from suits to casual sweaters and with the different colors available now, there is no excuse for you not to pick the one that matches your style.
* Pinstriped pants; these pants are classics that are perfect for formal occasions. The hot colors this season are navy with gray pinstripes or gray with brown pinstripes. Even though they are mostly used for a classic look this doesn’t mean that you can’t casual them a little by matching them with a fun striped shirt or an argyle sweater.
* Cardigans are hot hot hot this fall and we are not talking about your grandfather’s as now it had a modern, slimmer cut that makes it perfect for a date or a casual day at the office. Pick yours made out of merino wool or cashmere, which are known to be the lightest in case you want to layer it under a sweater.
- A sports jacket/blazer is a must have this season; however, it’s a little bit confusing with the hundreds of styles available now. Go for the tweed ones if you are looking for something classic and go for the moleskin and corduroy, which give you a more casual look. Stay away from the wild colors and stay with the neutral ones, which can be easily paired with jeans and would look stylish.
