Film music is something with which Nick Cave is well acquainted, having written quite a bit of it, notably for Wim Wenders ("Wings of Desire") and Andrew Dominik ("The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford"). Recently, the Australian rocker has been in an inventive mood, creating a new, related genre: novel music. The part-time writer and Bad Seeds frontman has written a soundtrack to accompany the audio version of his new work of fiction, "The Death of Bunny Munro". The soundtrack will be downloadable via iTunes, which is a big first initiated by Canongate Books and Enhanced Editions, an English start-up that specialises in the publication of e-books for the iPhone.

"The Death of Bunny Munro" will be published in a traditional paper version, audio book and ebook, in accordance with Nick Cave's wish to reach an audience in touch with new technologies.
