Amy Winehouse returning to the studio?

It was with some relief that Mitch Winehouse made the announcement in a British radio interview: his daughter is finally returning to the studio to record her 3rd album. According to Mr Winehouse, Amy is well and truly back in touch with her legendary sense of inspiration: "She's writing all the time, she's got the poetry." Even better, Mitch commented: "I've heard a couple of songs from it. It's not dissimilar from the second album - it's going to be great". Just as a reminder, the singer won a Grammy Award for her 2006 album.

The as-yet-untitled album will be released some time during 2010, according to Universal. The follow-up should give Amy Winehouse a good injection of cash, as long as the tormented singer does not fall prey again to her inner demons...
