Nicole Scherzinger's acting plan
The Pussycat Dolls singer would love to land a movie role which would show off her acting talents, but insists her priority is still her music career.
She said: "I have done a few things in the past, a couple of movies, but I'd definitely like to do more. I want to be taken seriously a bit more and look for roles that challenge me as an actress. I don't want to do cameos and stuff like that. I won't ever give up music though, I adore singing."
Despite her plans to move into acting, Nicole recently admitted she finds being famous hard work.
The 30-yeard-old star insists fans don't realize just how much effort goes into being a pop star.
Nicole, who is currently dating British Formula 1 racing driver Lewis Hamilton, said: "It's not as glamorous as people think. It has its ups and downs. There can be a lot of intrusion into your private life."
Scherzinger was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to a Filipino father and a Hawaiian/Russian mother. [1] Her mother, Rosemary, separated from her father and then moved to Louisville, Kentucky with her German-American stepfather Gary Scherzinger, and sister Ke'ala. She has described her upbringing as "conservative Catholic".
Nicole attended Meyzeek Middle School. Then she began her life as a performer in Louisville, attending the Youth Performing Arts School at DuPont Manual High School and performing with Actors Theatre of Louisville. Scherzinger majored in theater arts at Wright State University, but put her studies on hold in 1999 to sing backing vocals for the rock band Days of the New.
