Jamie Lynn Spears engaged

Pregnant Jamie Lynn Spears, sister of the troubled fallen pop queen Britney, is said to be engaged to boyfriend Casey Aldridge.

The 16-year-old actress - who is expecting her first child with her 18-year-old boyfriend Casey this summer - has reportedly been "showing off" her large engagement ring, and is already telling friends and family about the marriage plans.

A source close to the Spears family told in an interview: "She's got an engagement ring. She's been showing it off, talking about it to her friends in Mississippi and Louisiana."

Jamie Lynn, who stars in hit US TV show 'Zoey 101', previously admitted discovering she was pregnant was the biggest shock of her life.

She said: "It was a shock for both me and Casey, because it was so unexpected.

"I took two weeks to myself where I didn't tell anybody. Only one of my friends knew because I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone's opinion affect my decision."

Jamie Lynn Spears is expecting a boy, it has been claimed.

It has also been claimed that Britney has been seen around baby shops, shopping for her sister, a source said: "Britney originally said the items were for her two sons Jayden James and Sean Preston, but it appeared to be a cover for Jamie Lynn. None of the items could have been for the two kids Britney already has - they were for a small baby.

"Britney and Jamie Lynn were only in the store for around 20 minutes but they bought several items that were light blue in colour."

Jamie Lynn is believed to have bought blue pyjamas, organic baby blankets and towels.

It was recently revealed Jamie Lynn was hoping to go to college and continue her education after the baby is born.
