The Hiltons approve of Paris’s Boyfriend

Paris Hilton's parents approve of her latest boyfriend, calling tattooed rocker Benji Madden "polite" and "well mannered".

The socialite's father insists the Good Charlotte star proves you should never "judge a book by its cover," admitting he's always impressed by Madden.

And the actress/singer's mother, Kathy, goes so far as to state she thinks the new romance is "the real thing".

She did looked marginally happier than when she was snapped at the budget hotel in Liverpool, the Lord Nelson which costs £45 a night, last week.

Benji Madden on the other hand has denied his socialite girlfriend Paris Hilton is a demanding diva - insisting he has never seen a negative side to the heiress.

The tattooed star - who is currently with Hilton in Europe as he and his band mates complete their latest tour - claims The Simple Life star never talks about her privileged background, stating she is just a regular girl.

He says, "I have never met that Paris Hilton. I have never seen that side of her. She is actually very different. She is sweet and caring.
