Premonition

Premonition

Depressed housewife Linda Hanson (Sandra Bullock) has a beautiful house, a loving husband and two adorable daughters. Her life is perfect, until the day she receives the devastating news that her husband Jim (Julian McMahon) has died in a car accident.

Linda is shocked and cannot think of her life without her husband, but then she wakes up the next day to find him alive and well… Dismissing it as a horribly nightmare, Linda is still uneasy about how real that nightmare with all its details felt.

Until the next day when she wakes up to find her husband dead again, she realizes something’s terribly wrong with her life. Linda's traumatizing premonition sets off a chain of puzzling, time-altering events.

Sandra Bullock once again takes the role of a depressed woman, reminiscing previous roles in movies like Hope Floats and The Lake House, and it’s getting boring.

Julian McMahon (Nip/Tuck, Fantastic Four, Charmed) does an ok job as the shady husband whose actions are not entirely clear. But he does have this plastic look that’s a little unnerving.

The story starts off well, appealing and grabbing, but then, somewhere along the way it dwindles and dies out completely losing all meaning and, quite frankly, I really couldn’t care less. A less than mediocre effort, Premonition is not worth the time or money.
