Role Models - or not!
A couple of over-grown schoolboys, now well into their thirties, are sentenced to carry out community work following a traffic offence. Wheeler (S. William Scott) is self-confident skirt-chaser, while Danny (P. Rudd) is serious and awkward. The pair are entrusted with a couple of kids who are having problems integrating: a teenage medieval role-playing game fanatic and a highly-charged kid who doesn't give a stuff about anything!
Although presented as another American Pie-type flick, "Role Models" is a far cry from the teen movies that it is associated with. Cynical, sarcastic, sometimes politically incorrect and often wild, the film is pleasantly surprising, genuinely funny and entertaining. The adventure continues in the bonuses, with a heap of deleted scenes, a collection of howlers, the usual commentaries and making-of and a look at the main themes of the film.
