District 13 - Ultimatum : a second helping

This sequel takes place three years after the action movie "District 13", set in Paris. District 13 is still surrounded and isolated by a wall, which is now even higher. Inside, gangs wrestle for control and chaos reigns. The challenges faced by Damien (C. Raffaelli) and Leito (D. Belle) have not changed much: once again their mission is to re-establish order between the gangs, before the secret service blows them all to pieces (and no, it doesn't burden itself with tiresome bureaucracy).

Filled with aerial action, explosions and fighting, this sequel by writer-director team Besson and Allessandrin seems to have been made purely for commercial reasons. The bet paid off, as "District 13 - Ultimatum" was one of the biggest box office hits of the year in France. The DVD offers various bonus features, notably a 30-minute making-of and six deleted scenes. Press play and hold on tight!
