A Good News Group source has declined “fights” between Imam and Al Sheriff, something that has led to latter’s absence from private showing of Hassan and Morkos at Cairo Opera House. Source has referred rumors to manipulations by producers and movie makers (a sort of jealousy) in order to marruin success of Hassan and Morkos whose revenues on first two showing days are one million Egyptian pounds plus.
Source has also referred Al Sheriff’s absence to his commitments in the United States, involving a movie he had previously done sessions on there, but decided to delay shooting until he is done with Hassan and Morkos. Al Sheriff, says source, has already called Imam and production company to decline attendance and inform them of updates.
Hassan and Morkos is written by Youssef Ma’aty, directed by Ramy Imam and stars: Lebleba, Hassan Mustafa, Shereen Adel and Mohamed Imam. Rumors have it, too, Al Sheriff got angry of Imam because some scenes were edited out – and that is not to mention billboards. Reality is, billboards include Imam and Al Sheriff tied up together into a cuff, where Al Sheriff is to right of billboard and Imam to left, an indication of Imam’s preference to another actor, an unprecedented gesture.
