Ahmad El Sakka Mahmoud Yaseen, Hend Sabri, Zina, and Youssef El Sherif and their movie "El Gezira" came on top of the list beating their closest rival by 1.5 million pounds. This movie which was written by Mahmoud Diab and directed by Sharif Arafa had the most income of all the movies released in Al-Adha feast.
The island had a total income of 9 million and 200 thousand pounds since it was released on the first day of Al-Adha feast and until now at the end of the third week of its screening beating with that all the movies screened at the same time, especially the movie "khareg 'An el Qanoun" starring Karim Abdul Aziz and Maya Nasri, and directed by Ahmad Nader Galal, which had an income of only 7.5 million pounds during the same period.
The movie "Heen Maysara" came in the third place, in which Sumayya Khashab, Wafae 'Amer, Ghada abdul Razek and Amr Saad starred, and which was directed by Khalid Youssef, with an income of 6 million and 250 thousand pounds since the beginning of its screening a week before the feast and until now.
While the movie "Khaleeg Ne'ema", starring Ghada Adel, Mahmoud El 'Eseily, Mohammed Nour, and May Kassab, and directed by Magdi Al Hawwari, came in the fouth place with an income of 3 million and 100 thousand pounds.
The downfall of Mai and Mostafa
The biggest surprise were the two movies which scored last in the race and which were "Joba" starring Mustafa Shaaban, Dalia Behery, Ahmed Azmi, Sameh el Serity, Ahmad Saeed Abdul Ghani, and written by Dr. Mohamed Rif'at and directed by Ahmed Sameer Farag; and "Shikamara", starring Mai Ezzeddine, Maged El Kadwany, Mohammed Shuman, Edward and Lutfi Labib, and Raja Al Jiddawi, and written by Mustafa Ammar and directed by Ayman Makram.
It was such a surprise because everyone was expecting that they will come on top of the list. However, it did not work for them as the movie "Joba" failed to score more than 3 million and Mai Ezzeddine and her movie "Shikamara" failed to scare more than 2 million pounds.
