Nicole Kidman not charmed by Robert Pattinson
The poster for "Bel Ami" looked very appealing: Nicole Kidman in an amorous tête-à-tête with lady's choice vampire Robert Pattinson! Having been widely distributed on the Internet, the news was well-known, but in keeping with her reputation as the most fickle woman in the film industry, the actress has let yet another director down. After Woody Allen and Stephen Daldry ("The Reader"), it is British director Declan Donnellan's turn to suffer the Australian diva's whims. However, Kidman's desertion should not affect filming. This adaptation of the Guy de Maupassant novel will begin shooting in Feburary 2010 in London and Budapest.
Published in 1885, "Bel Ami" portrays opportunistic and charming journalist George Duroy's scaling of the social ladder in 19th century Paris. The unrepentantly seductive man will be played by Robert Pattinson, who is getting a name for steamy, romantic roles!
