The Twilight Zone : a new film based on the series
The first episode of cult sci-fi TV series "The Twilight Zone" was broadcast in October 1959. The series was created by Rod Serling and 156 episodes were made between then and 1964, using stories by masters of American sci-fi such as Ray Bradbury. In 1983, Steven Spielberg, John Landis, Joe Dante and George Miller produced the first cinema adaptation, "Twilight Zone: The Movie", a film comprising fantastical sketches, which was more-or-less successful. Now it's Leonardo DiCaprio's turn, through his production company Appian Way and Warner Bros. studios. They have hired Rand Ravich, who directed "Intrusion", to bring this major new project to fruition.
The screenplay is expected to be inspired by several episodes of the series, which was renowned for blurring the borders between science and superstition.
