Kidman and Urban are having a baby

Hollywood star Nicole Kidman announced that she is expecting her first biological baby with her husband country singer Keith Urban.

Kidman, who is 40 years old who married Urban in Sydney in 2006, has two adopted children Isabella, 14, and Connor, 12 with her ex husband actor Tom Cruise. But this child would be the first natural child for the Oscar-winning actress. Just last year the Australian actress revealed she suffered an ectopic pregnancy and a miscarriage during her ten-year marriage to Cruise.

The couple are said to be thrilled that they are expecting a baby, their publicist reports, the announcement that she is pregnant, after years of false alarms in the tabloid newspapers, now the paparazzi are competing for the first picture of the actress’s baby bump

Day, their publicist said she only learned in a phone call from Kidman a day before the announcement that the latest media reports about a pregnancy were correct. "For years I've seen speculation and for years it's never been right, so I didn't think it was right this time," Day, told Australia's national news agency AAP. "I personally didn't know, so I'm excited today, very excited," Day said.

"So I guess that statement ends all the rumors and I guess the poor girl will be hounded by paparazzi and all that." Kidman's announcement of her pregnancy was prompted by her need to withdraw from an upcoming film by Stephen Daldry, The Reader, which was due to begin shooting this month, Day said.

"I understand she's had to withdraw from the film and therefore she's had to give them the reason, and therefore she's now able to confirm that she's pregnant. Kate Winslet is reportedly going to replace Kidman in the upcoming movie.
