The creators of the TV show “Limatha” (Why) presented by the renowned Tony Khalife which is supposed to air this Ramadan on the new satellite channel “Al-Qahera w Al-Nas” (Cairo and its People) owned by Tarek Nour, are having different opinions concerning the episode featuring the infamous director Inas Al-Degheidi.

Some of the channel’s reponsibles think that some snaps of the interview should be removed because they might cause a huge wave of controversy, as well as giving a bad impression of the channel especially that the episode will be shown during the holy month of Ramadan, and thus igniting the rage fire in the hearts of religious women and men in case it aired just as it is without editing; while others see that it shouldn’t be edited in any way simply because all of Inas Al-Degheidi’s statements are representing only her own personal point of view, and not the channel’s..and the debate still goes on.

The first in the series of the debated statements is when Tony asked Al-Degheidi about why she denounces Hijab, and about her constant fight against all veiled women, and then she replied in complete sarcasm: May I NEVER get veiled!

Add to that a bunch of other sensitive questions related to Hijab, and the nudity in her movies, besides the shocking statements she’s always making.

On the other hand, it’s very well known that Tony Khalife has been famed for presenting controversial TV shows and programs such as “Liman Yagro’ Faqat” (Only to Those Who Dare) in which he interviewed many Arab stars and asked them some questions that caused many arguments between people and due to that he’s been heavily attacked and criticized.

After that show, Khalife presented “Damaa and Ebtesama” (A Tear and a Smile) also featuring a large number of stars, among which, the Lebanese diva “Sabah” whose episode infuriated audiences due to her confession of her disloyalty to all her husbands, the thing that got her widely criticized, leading her to take back what she said later on.
