EGYPTIAN AMERICAN AUTOMOTIVE: Ford LAUNCHES IN EGYPT

After months of discussions and negotiations, Ford International has finally chosen Egyptian American Automotive to be the local agent for Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury in hopes of achieving its aspirations for the developing Egyptian market.

Egyptian American Automotive was announced as the new local agent in a big celebration that witnessed the unveiling of two new Ford models to a crowd of visitors and journalists; the Ford Focus and the Ford Fiesta, to be released for the first time in the Egyptian market under the sponsorship of the new agent.

GLOBALMARKETING STRATEGY

In order to achieve success within the local market, Ford International has provided its new agent with its full support and aid, which was amply demonstrated by the presence of a high level delegation of Ford representatives from North America and Europe in the launch event of the new Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury models.

The delegation consisted of Mr. Ingvar Sviggum, Mr. Viktor Moln?r, Mr. Patrick Bégaud, and Mr. Pablo Vaquero. Egyptian American Automotive will follow a marketing policy in conformity with the strategies of the mother company, based on the philosophy that all Ford owners are the responsibility of the company, regardless of the car model or its make- year. This is exactly what current Ford owners in Egypt were missing, and which also means that all their current problems will be solved with the arrival of the new agent.

After a careful study of the local market, Egyptian American Automotive has chosen a group of distributors in order to fully cover the Egyptian market. In addition to those distributors; who will be responsible for the distribution of the Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury models, another group of genuine Ford spare parts distributors will also be geographically chosen in order to cover all areas of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

QUICK SERVICES FOR FORD, LINCOLN, AND MERCURY FOR THE FIRST TIME In EGYPT

As part of its dedication to providing an exclusive and unique service, Egyptian American Automotive will launch the Quick Services system in cooperation with Exxon Mobil, which provides car owners with a quick maintenance service in a number of Mobil and Esso gas stations that are available in all governorates, instead of having to wait in line for hours in service centers.

CAIRO AND ALEXANDRIA FIRST, AND THE REST FOLLOWS

The quick launch of the Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury models in Egypt will start in Cairo and Alexandria first, through the local distributors chosen by Egyptian American Automotive, and will be followed by a second wave that will include distributors in the Delta, Sinai, and the Red Sea, after which the final stage will be launched in Upper Egypt and will mark the complete coverage of the Egyptian market.

Egyptian American Automotive will start the launch of Ford models in the local market with the Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta models, to be followed by the new generation of the Ford Mondeo; which are models from the European market, and from the American market, the luxurious SUVs Ford Explorer and Ford Expedition will be launched, in addition to the Crown Victoria.
