Hyundai Launch The New Veracruz SUV In Dubai
Hyundai is broadening their SUV line-up in the United Arab Emirates with the addition of an all-new premium crossover called ‘Veracruz’.
Launched recently in Dubai at an international media event, the Veracruz features a new 3.8-litre V6 power plant combined with three rows of seating.
The new larger-than-Santa Fe crossover is replacing Hyundai’s truck-based Terracan SUV globally and is actually built on a stretched Santa Fe platform.
The stretched platform has enabled Hyundai engineers to fit an extra row of seats inside the Veracruz.
The powerplant is a 3.8-litre V6 pumping out 260bhp and 348Nm of peak torque with power sent either to the front wheels or to all four wheels, depending on the trim level, through an Aisin sourced six-speed transmission with Shiftronic capability.
The Veracruz is available in the UAE in three distinct trim levels: GL, GLS and the GLS full option (navigation system is optional).
Standard safety features include ABS, EBD, ESC and airbags. Prices range between AED94,000-130,000.
