Aprilia On The Podium Of Assen

The 125 class’s full of emotions in the 75° Dutch TT. The protagonists of the category are not spared and the contacts are not missed among the hulls.

The competition went off with Marco Simoncelli of the NoCable team that didn’t succeed in interpreting to the best the start and it was forced to insert his head under the fairing to recover the way.

Author of an ugly start also Mattia Pasini, after the first lap was in 12th position. The struggle for the podium resolved in the last hundred meters before the chess flag.

Simoncelli was landed by the Swiss Luthi that went to strike the back wheel of the Italian, while on the platform, together with the winner, Gabor Talmacsi went Hector Faubel (Master Aspar) and Mattia Pasini.  “I am not happy at all - said Faubel - I could win here, the second place is not enough for me.” 

 It is not in a the same mood Mattia Pasini that, thanks to the third place of today it is in head to the classification of the Championship with 100 points (together with Talmacsi).

 “I have been enough fortunate - said Pasini - the race has been all right, I regret for what has happened to Marco (Simocelli). At the beginning I made the worse departure of my life.

Fortunately that we had chosen to depart with a hard rubber, that permitted me to go to take the first ones when I have begun to reassemble.

During the race there have been some contacts, me same I have touched with Bautista and Simoncelli, but there are all had a good time ones. What counts more is the fact to be in head to the championship, I hope to continue this positive wake.”

Simoncelli has ended his competition because of a contact with Thomas Luthi, really to the final wisecracks.  With this result, Aprilia is in head to the classification of the Championship of 125 with 151 points.
